A Halt on New Taxes and Responsible Fiscal Policy Upper Darby has one of the highest quality school districts in the nation and one of the highest tax rates in our area. Pam supports a line-by-line review of the district’s expenditures to ensure that taxpayer money is being spent in an efficient and effective manner. Improving our Faculty Pam believes that the Administration and faculty of the school district should begin to more closely reflect the community that our schools serve. Pam supports efforts to branch out in the hiring and recruitment process for new faculty and ensure that the best qualified candidates attain positions in our district. Upper Darby Schools for Upper Darby Students Pam supports the right of all children to receive a quality education but also supports the rights of residents of Upper Darby to have an efficient public schools system for our own children. Pam supports stringent registration requirements and supports the implementation of other school-population measures, including re-verification of student residency and the prosecution of those caught defrauding the district. Increasing Public Involvement Pam supports increasing the involvement of the public in the activities of our schools, including making district public documents available online and broadcasting school board meetings using already available public access cable channels and broadcast facilities. |
